  • Processing patients, which includes obtaining medical history and answering questions about the procedure they are having
  • Preparing patients by positioning them correctly for the imaging and placing shields over parts of the body not being imaged
  • Operating the computerized equipment to take the images
  • Producing quality images that can be used by physicians to make a diagnosis
  • Adjust and maintain imaging equipment

Medical Radiography Program’s Mission Statement

Spokane: The mission of the Medical Radiography program at Carrington College is to prepare graduates to become Registered Radiographic Technologists with the knowledge and skills necessary to assume entry-level positions in the medical field.

Medical Radiography Program Goals


  • Goal 1: Graduates will demonstrate clinical performance and competency;
  • Goal 2: Graduates will be able to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
